We are here to to file a suit on behalf of the APC challenging the results of the governorship election in Bauchi State held some weeks ago

We are here to to file a suit on behalf of the APC challenging the results of the governorship election in Bauchi State held some weeks ago.

“What we want is justice, as always, from the court because we know that the court will do just that.

“Our prayers are in the petition we filed.”

Over 3,500 children recruited by armed groups in North East, says UNICEF

The PUNCH had reported that incumbent Governor Abubakar, following the declaration of Bala Mohammed as the Bauchi State governor-elect, had conceded defeat and congratulated him.

But after spending over one week in Abuja, Abubakar had made a U-turn and had said that his party had agreed to go to court to reclaim his mandate from the PDP.

l want Nigerians to look at those of us who are the actors and take note of what we say. That is the most important thing. I want to submit

l want Nigerians to look at those of us who are the actors and take note of what we say. That is the most important thing. I want to submit and assure Nigerians that by the special grace of God, if Senator Ahmed Lawan gets there, he will run an all-inclusive government because the Senate is the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“The notion that the PDP  would be excluded should be withdrawn forthwith. What we are planning to do is to have a Senate that will be for all senators.”

According to him,  many opposition senators pledged their support and promised to vote for  Lawan  as they are convinced he will not sideline them.

ShockinNews: We may all have come in different vehicles as represented by our various political parties, but poverty and hunger faced by the masses of Nigeria

He said, “I can confirm to you that on the day of inauguration Lawan will garner more than two-thirds majority support from members-elect from both APC and PDP.

“We are talking to our colleagues; we are working on the people who will vote  on the day of inauguration.”

Justice Onnoghen’s resignation has affirmed that this was indeed not a witch-hunt, neither was it a political matter as the Peoples Democratic Party

“Justice Onnoghen’s resignation has affirmed that this was indeed not a witch-hunt, neither was it a political matter as the Peoples Democratic Party and indeed many naysayers had made it look like.

“This has also put to rest posters that questioned the evidence that was put forward with regards to the former CJN’s malfeasances, abuse of office and failure to declare his assets.

Shocking statement: Permanent Trouble” in the eyes of the Presidency, and how, despite having been praised to high heavens by APC, both in Benue and Abuja

“It is, to all intents and purposes, a fitting starting point for a cleansing operation that will be the hallmark of President Buhari’s second term in office.”

We have no reason to doubt that the President will not sign it into law; his body language does not suggest that he will not sign it.

“We have no reason to doubt that the President will not sign it into law; his body language does not suggest that he will not sign it.

“We are hoping and waiting for him to do so. If you asked me when he should sign it, I would  tell you that  it should be  immediately. We want him to sign it right away so that by May workers can earn the new salary. They have been waiting anxiously.”

So, you see this has clearly shown the President’s bias towards his Fulani brothers even as the President of the country

The Trade Union Side wing of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council also  called on Buhari to  sign the bill.

They didn’t win a single Local Government out of the 28, so that is giving them a lot of pain. So, we are ready to go to the tribunal

I came to consult with the Chief of Staff that Kano is peaceful; people are jubilating and I am happy to inform him that everything is normal.

“All that you see on the social media is fake, false and he (Kyari) is happy about that.”

On the petition by the PDP, he said he was ready for the opposition.

“Well, we are waiting for them; we know that they are not good losers anyway. So, it is common to go to the tribunal, we are ready to meet them because the first election they committed a lot of fraud, a lot of irregularities and the supplementary election was fair and free.

“It was carried out in 28 Local Governments; they didn’t win a single Local Government out of the 28, so that is giving them a lot of pain. So, we are ready to go to the tribunal”, he added.

“If not for our Fire Service men, who got there at the right time the whole building would have been engulfed in fire completely.

“It was only that particular room that was badly affected, he could not get out and he died out of suffocation from the fumes of the fire.

“He worked in the Department of Mathematics before his exit; he was a lecturer but had resigned and was no more in the service of the University of Ibadan.

Pension should be paid as and when due but 99 per cent of contributory pensioners, they allow us to die, while some have not received their lump sum payment

“We have two issues. The violation of the PenCom Act; we have 10 items of the violation of the fundamental and constitutional rights of retirees and pensioners. The constitution says that every five years or when salary is increased, the pension will be reviewed; PenCom did not deem it fit to do that.

“Our constitutional right says that our pension should be paid as and when due but 99 per cent of contributory pensioners, they allow us to die, while some have not received their lump sum payment.

We have written a petition on the electoral fraud in Rivers State to the INEC chairman, stating the actual results

“You can see the lapses and impunity in PenCom. Where is this money; where is it hanging? This is untold hardship. PenCom, they are very insensitive to us, the contributing pensioners. They use the money accrued for the PFAs to make more money.”

Now that they have realised their mistake, we are ready to form alliance with APC to reclaim our mandate

“The national leadership of the APC made a mistake by not giving the party’s governorship ticket to me. We warned them against giving the ticket to Hope Uzodinma, but the leadership of the party ignored our warnings.

“The outcome of the elections has justified us. We joined the AA two months to the election and I won the governorship election if not for the manipulations.

“We also won eight seats in the state House of Assembly. Action Alliance also won two seats in the House of Representatives.

The south supported us to rule for eight years, it will be bad if we in turn, betray them and still retain power in the nort

“Now that they have realised their mistake, we are ready to form alliance with APC to reclaim our mandate.”

What is the business of the executive with the election of principal officers of the National Assembly? The way the party is going about it is exposing

“What is the business of the executive with the election of principal officers of the National Assembly? The way the party is going about it is exposing Senator Lawan.

The action of the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, is like that of a headmaster giving instructions to his pupils.

Shocking speech: He has prepared me well for this assignment. So, those detractors and politicians in cassock should go and find better job to do

“The APC ought to be discreet with its lobbying, not grandstanding about imposing an anointed candidate on senators. This is because the party is exposing Senator Lawan to the danger of being viewed and labelled as a stooge of the executive.”

“I made several attempts to reach my deputy without success; then I started developing some strange feelings pointing to a possible sellout by him.

“I want to state that all the accusations made by my running mate against Mr Rotimi Amaechi are blatant lies poorly crafted by his paymaster, Governor Wike; and you could see how tough it was for him to read the script handed to him.

“I was never asked to and did not sign any letter of resignation. I am aware that my deputy also was not asked to or signed any letter of resignation. The support the AAC got from the minister and the APC was unconditional,”

I am not going to listen to the party, neither will I listen to anybody. Nobody that wants to be the Deputy Senate President

“I’m a very loyal party man. The party has zoned the Senate presidency to the North-East and I want to respect the party’s will; but the second position is what we are not going to allow to leave the South-East.

“So, as far as I’m concerned, in the South-East, I’m going to run openly on the floor of the House for the position of Deputy Senate President.

“I am not going to listen to the party, neither will I listen to anybody. Nobody that wants to be the Deputy Senate President is more loyal than I am to the party.

These allegations by a contrived PDP organ are desperate untruths without a basis in fact. It is a matter of public record

The advert falsely alleges that Asiwaju along with the others met the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, in order to influence the Sokoto State gubernatorial rerun election in favour of the APC.

“These allegations by a contrived PDP organ are desperate untruths without a basis in fact. It is a matter of public record that Asiwaju has always been at the forefront of the struggle for electoral reform.

“His only tools for influencing elections are his moral authority, his skills as a veteran politician, and his dedication to campaigning and mobilising his own party members. This allegation is entirely in line with the delusional reactions of PDP to their devastating loss in the presidential elections.”

How do we think of making education to be useful? Those people who will make our population over 400 million in years time are already born and you cannot unborn them

“The second is population. Our population at independence, we were estimated to be 45 million; but today, we are 200 million.

“By the year 2050, we will be over 400 million. Normally, population should be an asset, but looking at the condition we are in now, when in the North-East of Nigeria, the percentage of adult literacy is about 53 per cent. You can see that we have a problem and education is basic in all human development.

Shocking speech: Anyone who feels dissatisfied is free to approach a court of law. It is a free world, everyone is entitled to his opinion. But honestly, from what I saw in Niger

“How do we think of making education to be useful? Those people who will make our population over 400 million in years time are already born and you cannot unborn them.

So, the problem is here, what do we do?

“We must provide education for them, housing, healthcare, education for them, and more importantly, employment for them.”

These cases of killings during elections, people terrorising Southern Ijaw, killing people, even interfering in our democratic process,

were funded by Agip in the likeness of crude oil pipeline surveillance contractors and forming a parallel government in this state to compromise all the layers of security in our country.

“They have been killing, maiming and terrorising people in Nembe Bassambiri. A certain Kodjo, who is working as an Agip contractor, is funded by the company.
In Southern Ijaw, there is a certain David Lyon and his people whose activities are being funded by Agip.

Shocking speech: What has happened is pure evil. Our consolation as faithful members of this society is that evil does not last forever and no evil doer has ever escaped punishment

“We have also come to realise and accept that the basis of our unity and coexistence lies fundamentally in restructuring this country so that every part of this country can have a sense of belonging and also have the opportunity to exploit their human and material resources for the development of the citizens.

What has happened is pure evil. Our consolation as faithful members of this society is that evil does not last forever and no evil doer has ever escaped punishment. …it is a law of nature, that whatever you sow is what you will reap.”

Furthermore, he averred that “For those who believe in power for the sake of power and not because they want to empower people, not because they want to better the lives of our People, there are also lessons they can learn from history.

Shocking speech: Nigeria would not be proud of. We have conducted an election that; no doubt, anybody and even those who think they have won are ashamed of the kind of election that we conducted

“History is replete with examples of all those who pursued power for the sake of power. Whether it is Hitler, I don’t want to name more, one example is enough.

Their lives have always ended up in some tragedy, that is the fate of anyone that seeks power for the sake of power. We have seen that displayed in Nigeria and I wish we can take heed from the lessons of history.”
