The club is doing badly – Lionel Messi’s final message to ex-Barcelona team mates revealed

Lionel Messi told his former team mates at Barcelona that he could not continue with the club, because they are “doing badly” financially.

The 34-year-old has signed a two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain this week.

Messi spent all his playing career at Barca, where he broke the LaLiga club’s records for goals and appearances.

Although he was keen to renew his contract, the club’s dire financial situation eventually led to his exit.

WhatsApp messages between Messi and his Barca teammates have now confirmed the situation was beyond his control.

Argentine journalist, Veronica Brunati, reports that Messi told them: “I don’t want to go. There is nothing left to do, there is no money.

“The club is doing very badly, they cannot extend with me.” Dailypost
