EPL: Marcus Rashford names best African player in Premier League

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, has named Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, as the best African footballer in the Premier League.

Rashford stated this on Monday during a Q&A session with his Twitter followers.
When specifically asked about the best African player he’s faced since making his Premier League debut in 2015.

“I think there’s some great African talent in [the] league at [the] moment. Mane particularly,” he replied.

Since Rashford burst onto the scene, he has faced top footballers from the continent like Yaya Toure, Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

During that time, 28-year-old Mane has won both the league title and the Champions League with Liverpool, while clinching the Golden Boot in the 2018/2019 season when he scored 22 goals.

While Mane finished fourth in the Ballon d’Or rankings in 2019, he was named African Footballer of the Year in that same year ahead of Salah. Dailypost
