Owerri/Onitsha Expressway - Petrol tanker falls in Onitsha, causes multiple crash

A tanker conveying petroleum products on Sunday fell along Owerri/Onitsha Expressway by Tarzan junction, Onitsha, causing multiple accidents in the area.

Dailypost  gathered that the accident occurred when a truck with Registration number XG 624 DKA conveying diesel lost control and fell on another truck conveying goods heading towards the opposite direction causing its content to spill on the road.

The development, a source said led to other crashes on the road, which caused severe gridlock up on the road.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident, saying that there were no loss of lives in the incident.
