Governor Oyetola no match for Senator Adeleke — Osun PDP

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed the state chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for its alleged disdain for the Nigerian Constitution, declaring that “Senator Adeleke as a Senator performed excellently better than Gboyega Oyetola in many respects.”

It also said in a statement signed by its state chairman, Hon Soji Adagunodo, and issued on Saturday: “Good governance is about capacity to deliver dividends of democracy to the constituents. As a Senator within a year, Senator Adeleke delivered on primary health care, education, skill acquisition and a multi-million higher education scholarship to his constituents. What is Oyetola’s records?

Continuing, PDP said: “Oyetola’s records in Osun State alongside that of his boss, Rauf Aregbesola were massive state debt, unpaid salaries and pensions, siphoning of state resources through dubious projects, destruction of state educational system, criminal neglect of health sectors, bastardisation of state tertiary schools, usurpation of community land under fake agricultural schemes among others.

“The administration of Aregbesola and Oyetola is notoriously known to be the worst era in the history of Osun state as the state dropped to the lowest levels in national educational and health ratings.

“Oyetola is particularly known as the architect of the most evil policies implemented in the last eight in Osun State.”

The party posited that Osun people have tasted the painful maladministration of the Aregbesola/Oyetola leadership, a reason the party said was behind the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke at the September 22, 2018 governorship election.
“Osun people have strong faith Senator Adeleke possesses the capacity, the will and the resourcefulness to ease the pains of the state and enthroned good governance. That was why he was voted in as governor before the temporary usurpation by Oyetola and his clique,” PDP said.
While expressing confidence in the judiciary to return the stolen mandate, the Osun PDP tasked the state APC to respect the constitution and stop its consistent denigration of the judiciary. News Express
