@Wicked World: Wife gang-raped by clerics while seeking love charms

Wife gang-raped by clerics while seeking love charms
A 31-year-old man, Kehinde Oludayo, has narrated the ordeal his 26 years old wife, Jumoke went through while seeking love charm from some clerics who sexually battered her.
Oludayo gave the account on Friday before an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan, while testifying in the petition brought by his wife seeking dissolution of their seven-year marriage for alleged brutality and lack of care.
The father of two accused his wife of infidelity and lack of respect for him as her husband, NAN reports.
”My lord, she didn’t recognise me as her husband because she lives a carefree life.
”In her search for love charms from some fraudsters that pretended to be ‘Alfas’ made her to fall prey and she was gang raped.
”Though she opened up to me and pleaded for forgiveness but her attitude didn’t change after the shameful experience.” he said
Meanwhile, the respondent in response denied the allegation of brutality and that he tried his best in performing his responsibility as a husband and father of the two kids of the union.
However, he pleaded with the court to help savaged the situation rather than dissolving the marriage, saying he still love his wife despite what she did.
Although, Jumoke, had earlier told the court that her husband beat her always and always threatened her life, adding that her seven-year-old union with her hubby has been a calamity.
She, however, was silent on the allegation of been sexually assaulted, and gang raped, but insisted that the court should dissolve the marriage.
However, following the allegations and the defence, the President of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun, stated that obviously from all that has been said, both parties, especially that of the petitioner had proved that there was no more love between them.
Balogun noted that the rampant cases of domestic violence which had led to “wife killing husband and husband killing wife was enough to uphold the request of the petitioner.
”Though, the court prioritise resolution of marriage disputes but is handicapped in some instances.
”The marriage is therefore dissolved and custody of the two kids is given to the petitioner.
”The respondent is ordered to pay N7,000 monthly for the upkeep of the children and should be responsible for the education of the children.”
