IGP has many academic qualifications – Nigeria Police speaks in defence of IGP
Following a video which has caused a lot of uproar on the internet about the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, the Nigeria Police has reacted to the viral video which showed the IGP struggling to read a speech at an event in Kano, on Monday where he went to commission the Police Technical Intelligence unit in the state.
The video clip showed IGP Idris, s in Kano, stammering consistently as he struggled to pronounce words on the script of his supposed speech, this however, stirred up many reactions social media as many Nigerians tagged it a national ’embarrassment and a shame to the Nigeria Police Force’.
The force in its reaction however, shared a video on its official Twitter page 24 hours after the video was released, showing the IGP fluently reading another speech. The new video shared by the force was accompanied with a list of the schools the IGP attended.

Meanwhile, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Diaspora & Foreign Affairs, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, had earlier said the video was doctored by mischievous persons.
