@Sports Africa: Nigeria Senate President calls Wenger's resignation- the right thing

Following the announcement of Arsene Wenger's resignation from Arsenal after serving the club for 22 years, the President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, has reacted to the resignation of the Arsenal boss.

Recall that Wenger announced, in a statement on Friday morning, that he would be leaving the Emirates club at the end of the current season after 22 years with the club, ending a long tenure that got him three Premier League titles.

As soon as the news hit the internet, Saraki took to his Twitter page and wrote, ”With all that is going on, this is one piece of good news. Finally, @Arsenal is doing the right thing.

”While looking forward to the future, we must all remember that Arsene Wenger built a strong foundation for the future.

”This will be the end of an era. #MerciArsene.”
